Worship, Justice, Victory and the Dwelling Place.
WELL WE MADE IT! Welcome to the year 2020! And welcome to this new time period, a new decade has broken open, like new wine, and there is great anticipation for the entrance of King Jesus in new and mighty ways.
THE ROAD OF PREPARATION.
The last decade of your life has been one long road of preparation.
Maybe you knew it, and maybe you were walking it unaware, but so evidently in so many of our lives, the Lord Jesus has been leading and guiding and moving us all individually and collectively as His body into place, into position, ready to move into some of the greatest times we have ever seen or experienced as the people of God.
Joel 2.
I believe this scripture in Joel 2 has been defining that road of preparation. It is a well known passage for the outpouring of the Spirit of God on His people, upon all flesh the Spirit and His enablement is promised to fall.
What is often left out is the preparation verses before it.
But we cannot and may not dislocate the preparation from the promise.
We have to learn the Lord works with us in process, and He takes us from glory to greater glory, but it is in the everyday obedience, the every day surrender, the everyday love affair with Jesus and His Spirit living on the inside of us.
The Spirit being poured out is not some unexpected, random action, it is carefully planned by the Lord in His WISDOM.
He is SO WISE!!
I heard the Holy Spirit say, “He is SO WISE, He is WISER THAN KING SOLOMON!”
And yes, of course He is, we would say!
But have we ever thought of Jesus as SO VERY WISE, and worthy of worship because of His absolute WISDOM?
He does things in timing, He does things on a people who have “rended their hearts” to Him first.
He isn’t planning on pouring out His costly, precious new wine & new oil, standing for new assignments, new vision, new power, onto an unprepared, unaware Bride.
He will do it with those who have rended their hearts over and over, have humbled themselves to His will, have surrendered dignity and their OWN NAME for HIS GREAT AND GLORIOUS NAME BEING MADE KNOWN IN THE EARTH!!
WATCH THE WORSHIPPERS ARISE!
I heard the Lord say to my heart , “Watch the worshippers arise!”
Isaiah 61 is also a key passage for these time we’re in. Its a time of GREAT JUSTICE ON THE EARTH.
I heard “Victory shouts” coming from the tents of the Righteous. (Psalm 118:15)
The people of God will be encountering great Victory, because of the Lords arm of Justice coming again and again upon the earth in 2020 and in this decade.
Let us not forget that the Lord is Justice and Righteous, He will not be mocked. And consequences for sin and evil will have their day in court. Even on the earth!
And so this will cause the righteous, those who are with Jesus, to REJOICE AND BE GLAD OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
HE IS OUR RIGHTEOUS KING FOREVER!!
HE WILL ACT JUSTLY AND RIGHTLY FOREVER, AND THIS SHOULD & WILL CAUSE US TO SHOUT FOR GREAT JOY AND WORSHIP HIM EXUBERANTLY!! (Isaiah 61:8-11)
THE DWELLING PLACE OF THE LORD.
The dwelling place of the Lord is His people. He is searching the earth right now for places where He can come and rest and dwell. He inhabits praises. He longs to live with us, like was His plan from the garden.
The heart of the Lord is to dwell forever with His people. And He is looking for homes right now. Dwelling places of the Lord.
Will you become a dwelling place for Jesus?
Will our churches, our gatherings, become His dwelling place?
He will make His home among us in 2020 and this time period like never before, in a way that His glorious presence will be weighty among us, as we adore Him and love Him extravagantly. Just like Mary, we will turn and be with HIM when He enters the ROOM.
He is the GUEST OF HONOR OF ALL TIME AND FOREVER!!
Church of Jesus, WELCOME HIM IN! Open your hearts, open the gates of worship unto the King of Glory! (PSALM 24)
Dont ignore the King, dont keep doing what you know to do and have always done, if He comes with His Presence into the Room, change direction, and sit with Him, worship Him, linger longer, adore Him. This is the right response, and it is what we were made for.
Pastors, Shepherds, Teachers, Prophets, teach the people of God to love Him and look at Him.
The Lamb Upon the Throne will be receiving all the worship and glory and honor and blessing forever, so lets give it to Him now!
Lets start to do that more and more in 2020! Let us become His Dwelling Place here and now on the earth. Watch how He overwhelms us with His beauty, His love, His wonder and awe.
MY PRAYER FOR YOU.
I pray that this year 2020 you see the Lord who is High and Exalted, like never before. I pray it will cause great worship and adoration and longing to please Jesus to break forth out of you. He is so worthy! I pray a love for His Word and His Holy Spirit be birthed and renewed in you. May fresh revelation and understanding break forth. May you be overwhelmed and overcome by His Goodness, His Glory, His Wisdom, His Wonder, His Justice, His Righteouness in 2020, and may it resound in you as great Shouts of Praise and Worship and Victory! Amen.
